It's important to know what to do if you are caught in a rip current while swimming in Daytona Beach or beyond. Each year there are around 100 people that die in rip currents in the country. It's always safer to swim in front of a lifeguard, and be sure to pay attention to beach warning flags, so you know the conditions.
