Check out the places below to get elevated and see beautiful ocean and river views of the area.
Ponce Inlet Lighthouse
For the best ariel view in the Daytona Beach area, climb the 175 feet to the top of the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse. Once you get to the top of the stairs you will step out onto a small observation platform that will offer panoramic views of the area. You can get 360 degrees of beautiful view! Visiting the lighthouse costs around $7 per adult and $2 per child, but it's well worth the experience. You will challenge yourself to make it up all the stairs, and then be rewarded with breathtaking views in all directions. Be sure to keep the weather in mind, because if a storm moves in the lighthouse will be closed to visitors, because it could be dangerous to be at the top during a storm.
Top of Daytona Restaurant
At this restaurant, located at the 29th floor, you can take in great ariel views of the Daytona Beach area, while you dine. You can dine alone or with a group, stop in for an early bird dinner, or a later romantic meal. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes to choose from, including pasta, chicken, salmon, etc. The restaurant is a popular destination for those who are looking to celebrate, have a romantic evening, or who want to get a great view of the area.
Canaveral National Seashore
This national park offers a lot to do in the way of hiking and visiting the beach, but you will also find shell middens here, which are essentially Native American garbage piles. You can climb to the top of Turtle Mound and be treated with some great views of the area near there. Granted, it's not an arial view like the others on the list, but it's still really nice. Plus, you will enjoy the short hike up the boardwalk to the top of the mound.
Marine Science Center
Located in Ponce Inlet, this is a great place to learn about local animals, both marine life and birds. They offer a turtle rehab center and a bird rehab center. Across the street from them, they have a short paved nature walk that leads back to an elevated observation deck. Climb to the top and you get beautiful views of the marsh area surrounding it. There's also usually a wonderful breeze to feel when you are up there. The trail itself is free to take, but it does cost money to go inside the center.
